Flexible Working

The Council needs a selection of working arrangements to suit the needs of employees and meet the demands of service delivery. Flexible working can enable people to enjoy a better work/life balance.

Holidays and leave

Our terms and conditions of employment include rights to annual leave and public holidays. In addition we all have special events and problems in our lives that make access to leave important. Leave may be needed to cope with bereavement, for jury service, for Territorial Army duties, to care for a child or simply to wait for a tradesman to call.

Maternity, paternity and adoption entitlements

Fife Council employees who become parents have access to maternity, paternity and adoption leave and pay arrangements.
